Position Details
This a part-time FTE, 44 weeks per year), ongoing Administration Officer position commencing 15th July 2024. Xavier Catholic School is a double stream co-educational primary school that caters for over 450 students from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 6. Xavier Catholic School prides itself on being a family-friendly Catholic community operating as a cohesive unit to support all students, families, and staff and where relationships are the key to success. A very strong relationship exists between the school and parish. The Administration Officer is the first point of contact for the school and contributes to the smooth operation within the reception area by providing essential services to the students, parents and staff of the school. The position requires a person with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills. Experience in a similar work environment is an advantage. It is desirable for the successful applicant to be available for a comprehensive handover before commencing. Selection Criteria 1. Be prepared to support the Catholic ethos in the performance of their duties.2. A positive and welcoming attitude to the public, with a high level of interpersonal skills.3. Proven ability and demonstrated versatility in all relevant responsibilities for the position.4. A commitment to high work standards and work ethic.5. Highly developed written/oral communication skills.6. Uncompromising confidentiality and professionalism.7. The capacity to work both collaboratively and independently.8. The initiative to organise and prioritise workloads to meet appropriate deadlines. 9. A demonstrated knowledge of Office 365 suite, SEQTA and AoS is preferred.10. Provide administrative support to other staff and/or the P&F as required. Qualifications Required 1. Current First Aid Certificate (to be obtained if not held)2. Criminal History Record Check3. Working with Children Check4. Accreditation to Work in a Catholic School (or working towards/willing to obtain)5. Proficiency in using the Office 365 suite and AoS is seen as an advantage Application Details Applicants are required to submit a covering letter and address the selection criteria. A current Curriculum Vitae is also required, including the names and contact numbers of three professional referees, one of whom must be the current employer.
