They are set to operate two new sites with the plan to expand and grow their presence opening fully operation depots / collection points.

The roles will either be based in Carrum Downs or Braeside.

The Opportunity
The Assistant Depot Manager is responsible for providing support to the Depot Manager on shift in leading the operations across one of the recycling collection sites in a professional and efficient manner

Duties will include:

  • Assist in leading operations across the site including logistics, directing customers to collection points, manage machinery and customer service
  • Operate machinery to assist in the smooth operation and collection and sorting of containers
  • Ensure customers are welcomed and assisted with their recycling products
  • Transporting items to the relevant storage area through the use of a forklift or manual handling.
  • Work with the team to ensure they are providing the highest level of customer service, both internally and externally, with the goal of continuously improving the customer experience
  • Help promote a highlevel safety culture
  • A background in either logistics, warehousing, customer service, retail, production, transport or similar
  • Ability to supervise and provide direction and guidance to employees including the ability to assist in onthejob training
  • Experience working with different types of machinery or ability to pick it up with ease
  • High level of customer service skills and a passion for working with people
  • Well developed communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work within a team environment
  • Self motivated with the ability to think laterally and make things happen
  • Familiar with Workplace Health and Safety standards
  • Forklift licence would be ideal
