The Position

St John of God Ballarat Hospital was established in 1915 and is the largest not-for-profit hospital in regional Victoria. It has 221 beds and provides an extensive range of health care services to residents living in Ballarat and Western Victoria. St John of God Ballarat Hospital is a private hospital and a division of St John of God Health Care, one of Australia's largest health care providers.

We currently have a position available as a Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD) Supervisor working within our Ballarat Hospital.

This position will be offered on a permanent full time basis, working 76 hours per fortnight.

Certificate IV in Sterilisation and ANUM experience is essential for this role.

  • A willingness and capacity to embrace the Mission and Values of St John of God Health Care.
  • Approved certificate in Sterilisation Technology or Nursing registration with the Nurses and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).
  • Recent relevant leadership/management experience in a CSSD.
  • Experience in commissioning new CSSD equipment.
  • Welldeveloped leadership and communication skills, including negotiation and mediation, conflict resolution and problem solving.
  • Demonstrated understanding and commitment to quality improvement and the ACHS EQuIP process.
  • Current knowledge of legislative obligations for Equal Employment Opportunity, Disability Services and Occupational Safety Health and how these impact on employment and service delivery.
  • High level of analytical and report writing skills.
  • Knowledge of contemporary computer information systems.
