The Position

St John of God Ballarat Hospital is one of Victoria's largest regional private hospitals and offers an extensive range of acute services for the community. While the hospital has existed since the early 19000s, the facility has continually been expanded to ensure modern services, and equipment are available to meet the needs of the community. A redevelopment is currently underway at the hospital which will add a new 10-bed critical/intensive care unit, central sterile services department (CSSD), four operating theatres, a 30-bed inpatient ward, four additional operating theatres, and a new catheter lab.

We have a rare opportunity for an experienced
Medical Audio Typist to join our wonderful Medical Records Team.

As a
Medical Audio Typist, you will enter a wide range of medical data into pre-existing medical databases, such as patient records, treatments provided, insurance information, and medication reports.

You will also be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the information entered, as it will be used by healthcare professionals to make important decisions regarding patient care.

Additionally, you may need to communicate with other medical professionals to clarify information or obtain further data.

• Audio typing and Dictaphone experience in a health care setting with demonstrated accuracy.
• Good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Strong time management and organisational skills with ability to prioritise

- _Knowledge of medical terminology_
- _Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access_

Salary: $57,742.50 to $59,369.52, plus 10.5% superannuation
