**The Role
We have a new opportunity for a dynamic, experienced Human Resources Superintendent. Based out of our Brisbane office, you will report to our HR & Training Manager. Travel to our sites will see you away frequently to our NSW mine sites.

This is a key role in our human resources leadership team, you will be responsible for providing generalist advice and support across our operations business.


You will also contribute to and drive the design and delivery of HR initiatives and annual Business Plan projects around organisational culture, employee engagement and performance and change management.

Your background should include expertise in employee relations, industrial relations, performance and talent management.

Exposure and a passion for recruitment will be advantageous as you will also oversee the recruitment function, managing the team.


Key Responsibilities

  • Ensuring and monitoring safety in the workplace by identifying and addressing hazards, participating in improving safety and ensuring all reporting requirements are completed
  • Support Leaders to effectively case manage complaints, performance management, negotiate disputes, and resolve grievances and conflicts, to establish preferred business outcomes in and across teams in line with the Counselling and Disciplinary Procedure and Fair Treatment Standard
  • Facilitate and promote high quality employee performance and engagement by providing support and coaching to HR Advisors, Supervisors and Superintendents on the endtoend employee HR lifecycle
  • Develop, implement and improve HR policies and procedures
  • Contribute to the development of leadership capability throughout the organisation by coordinating, developing and/or sourcing leadership development initiatives and programs
  • Oversee the Short-Term Incentive (STI) KPI setting and Performance and Development Review process and ensure all employees have an agreed Development Plan
  • Manage workforce planning, employee benefits and Learning and Development initiatives
  • M anage the recruitment function and support recruitment activities.

About You

  • Minimum 7 years of broad HR experience including performance management cycle administration, recruitment, labour relations, succession planning and HRIS
  • Tertiary Qualifications in Human Resources
  • Experience in heavy industry with a preference for mining experience
  • A values driven and results orientated professional with strong interpersonal, organisational and influencing ability
  • An active team member and leader who has an open communication style, shares information and contributes to an excellent working environment
  • A b ility to travel as required including spending time at sites developing strong relationships and networks
  • Behaviour consistent with Aurelia Metals Values.
  • It's a requirement to produce a National Police Clearance (valid within the last 3 months) for site access purposes and a current, unencumbered Australian 'C' Class Driver's Licence
