About the Project:

The Lake Macdonald Dam is located in the Noosa hinterland and is part of the South East Queensland drinking water supply operated by Seqwater.

John Holland has been awarded the Contract to undertake the largest upgrade to the dam since its installation in 1965 as part of the Seqwater Dam Improvement Project. The upgrade will include but not be limited to:

  • Pre-construction Approvals, Procurement and Site Establishment
  • Lake Lowering and Aquatic Salvage
  • Installation of Upstream Coffer Dam
  • Cofferdam, Spillway Demolition and Working Platform
  • Dam Construction
  • Reinstatement, Rehabilitation and Demobilisation

As construction of LMDIP (Lake Macdonald Dam Improvement Project) gets under way, John Holland is recruiting this key role that will provide administrative support to the project, which typically includes tasks such as data entry; the maintenance of financial records; compiling of reports; the processing and completion of forms and stakeholder communications as required.

Responsibilities of the role include:
  • Ensure expenses, invoices and timesheets are processed in a timely manner
  • Maintain project security by following procedures and controlling access to the building eg issuing visitor badges and following visitor sign in procedures
  • Prepare, review and disseminate month-end reports to appropriate personnel
  • Assist in the creation and preparation of correspondence, documents, reports, presentations, and/or publications relevant to the operations.
  • Assist other team members with JH systems and programs.
  • Address and respond to internal and external finance enquiries and follow up any outstanding items with the responsible personnel
  • Ensure records are filed and archived
  • Provide general administrative support as and when required
  • Perform all duties in accordance with JH policies, processes, reporting, systems and procedures
To be successful in this key role, you must have:
  • A minimum of 2 years experience working in an administrative position on a project within the Construction or Engineering industry.
  • Administration and document management practices
  • Accounting and finance experience (desirable)
