Your new role:

This role will lead the risk function to ensure risk is systematically identified, assessed and effectively managed within the individual business units of RMH both clinical and non-clinical. The Director of Risk will provide expert advice and coordination of risk management policies and procedures and foster a culture whereby all levels of RMH and staff are encouraged to adopt a positive and proactive approach to risk management.

In this role you will:

Manage the corporate risk management function, including facilitating internal risk assessment sessions and partnering with stakeholders to develop risk treatment plans. Integrate effective risk management practices across all levels of strategic and operational planning, processes and performance reporting. Ensure RMH fulfils the regulatory compliance and reporting requirements of its clinical risks, non-clinical enterprise risks and shared risks. Work with key stakeholders to ensure risk management is embedded in the strategic planning and decision-making processes.

About you:

You are tertiary qualified in a relevant field (e.g. Business or health degree) with experience in at least one of audit, strategy, planning, project or change management. You have excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, and an ability to apply these skills appropriately to meet the needs of a variety of stakeholders. You can demonstrate understanding of governance, risk management and quality improvement concepts, with a focus on systems improvement and organisational change. You have strong depth of understanding of risk functions within a Health setting. You are able to develop and conduct business planning / risk workshops and feedback sessions. You are experienced in engaging and working collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders, including as part of a team. You are capable of undertaking research to support horizon scanning and benchmarking, analysis and development of strategic options. You know how to work and negotiate with teams outside of the immediate portfolio You are self-motivated and driven with a strong work ethic to deliver high quality deliverables. You are able to adapt to changing priorities.
