We are Australia's international trade remedies authority - the Anti-Dumping Commission.

The Commission is responsible for undertaking investigations into allegations of unfair trade practices involving goods entering Australia and administering Australia's anti-dumping legislation.

About the branch:

The Investigations Branch has multiple APS4 positions available. This is a junior position. Full and extensive specialist training will be provided. An enthusiasm for learning and an understanding of the time taken to learn a specialist role, is essential. Skills, experience or qualifications in one or more of the following areas, although not mandatory, would be highly regarded: international trade, regulatory compliance, auditing, analytics, commercial investigations, business, commerce, accounting or economics.

What you will do:


The role of a APS4 Junior Analyst/ Case Support is to assist the Case Manager and Senior Case Investigator by contributing to core outputs for the case.

You will work within multi-disciplinary teams and learn to contribute to Anti-Dumping and countervailing investigations.

In this role, you will learn to:

  • examine and analyse trade, business, industry and financial data
- draft reports and briefing papers
- manage the use of case management records (e.g. evidence, analysis, risks and issues, briefing notes, meeting notes etc.)
- draft case communications (circulation of critical information, formal advice received, meeting requests, agendas, plans, relevant submissions etc.)
- work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams of investigators, policy, quality assurance and legal advisory staff
- liaise with a range of domestic and international businesses.


There is a high degree of direct engagement with Australian and international industry, including some opportunities for domestic and international travel to conduct verification activities.

You will be supported by a comprehensive training and induction program to help ensure you succeed in the role.
