DFP Recruitment are proudly working with our Federal Government client in search for a Director, Service Designer within their Strategic Development area of a Federal Government department.
Location of this position is either Brisbane or Canberra. Contract will be until end of December 2023 with a possibility of extension.
This is an exciting opportunity to be apart of a recently established Program which reviews and improves the existing organisational structure and models of client service delivery across the division.
Duties will include:
- Lead and translation of insights from the current state and future trends review projects utilising contemorary Human Centred Design methodologies
- Refine, implemement and provide specialist advise on a prioritisation framework for service improvement, transformation and innovation opportunities
- Facilitate Design Springs and codesign activities
- Create well developed rapid user experience prototypes and design solutions concepts for stakeholders
- Produce service design deliverables
- Provide professional leadership for ongoing mapping and blueprinting of current services
- Manage cross functional project teams
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Provide stratetgic and technical advise
To be considered you must have the following:
- Demonstrated experience in leadership within strategic, human-centred service innovation and transformation initatives
- Theoretical and practical experience in humancentred design in complex organisational and stakeholder environments
- Strong design sprint faciliation and codesign skills.
- Demonstrated experience creating well developed rapid user experience prototypes and design solution concepts
- Well developed research and analytical skills
- Excellent organisational skills with demonstrated experience delivering high quality outcomes on time limited projects
- Well developed influencing skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Tertiary qualifications in an appropriate discipline
- Professional leadership activities within the Service Design community.
MUST BE AN AUSTRALIAN CITIZEN
If successful, you will receive the following:
- An attractive hourly rate of between $84 and $110 p/h + super
- Full time hours, 37.5 per week
- Contract until 31st December 2023 with possibility of extension
- Brisbane or Canberra
