Joining the regional HSE Director, this role plays a crucial part in nurturing and molding the Safety Culture within Oceania (Liverpool, Dee Why & Auckland sites). Being part of the HSE Team, the key focus of this position is to uphold Prysmian's HSE obligations, ensuring adherence to WHS regulatory standards. The incumbent will actively support, monitor, and engage in all safety protocols on-site to guarantee compliance with HSE regulations. Collaborating closely with stakeholders, the role entails grasping Prysmian's HSE requisites and striving to uphold a perpetually secure, healthy, and sustainable work environment.

Applicants should possess some, if not all, of the following skills or demonstrated experiences:

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cohesive team to achieve Safety KPIs and drive cultural transformation
  • Proficient in operational, problem-solving, process management, administrative, change management, and communication skills
  • Assisting in constructing a Safety Training needs assessment, designing training programs, and executing program delivery
  • Thrives in uncertain settings and can perform effectively under pressure
  • Familiarity with the WHS Act and Safe Work Practices
  • Proven capability to engage within a 'shop floor' environment, influencing and promoting safety system engagement
  • Establishing and nurturing relationships
  • Articulating thoughts and information effectively
  • Exhibiting initiative and drive
  • Proficient in problem-solving and information gathering
  • Strong planning and organizational skills to manage competing priorities
