The Systems Team Manager role is primarily responsible to ensure the technical consistency and integrity of a system across the product life cycle.

The role performs a range of administrative, supervisory and individual contributions. The role also provides leadership, technical oversight and authority to a team of system engineers. As an individual contributor, can perform single or multiple roles defined by the general systems engineering framework. (i.e., technical lead, requirements engineering, system architecture, configuration management, Integration and verification, change manager)

The Systems Team Manager is responsible of the continuous improvement of the systems engineering framework and its processes across the company.


The key responsibilities of the role include:
As an individual contributor

  • Requirements Management and Analysis
  • System architectural design
  • System Integration and Integration Testing
  • System Verification & Qualification
  • Configuration Management of a System
  • Change Management
  • System Industrialization
  • System Troubleshooting and Issues root causing
  • Engineering releases / Product releases
  • Technical interface to System stakeholders
  • Technical risk assessment
  • Ensure proper traceability across system elements and development
  • Technical leadership
Supervisory and Administrative

  • Lead and manage technical discussions with internal or external customers
  • Manage conflicting technical priorities impacting deliverables to customers.
  • Continuous improvement of systems engineering processes and general approach across the company
  • Lead and manage a group of system engineers allocated across different projects
  • Support project estimation activities and business pursuit activities
  • Supporting HW and Systems Engineering Management
About you

  • Bachelor's in Systems Engineering, Electronics engineering, Mechanical Engineering, SW engineering, Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent.
  • Tshaped skills across HW/ME/SW are preferred.
  • Strong experience in Embedded Systems.
  • Strong experience in problem solving methodologies.
  • Experience leading root cause analysis and problem solving of technical issues.
  • Engineering experience across Product Life Cycle
  • Experience on technical development of products as a design engineer or technical lead.
  • Development experience with Vcycle and Agile frameworks.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, writing, reading)
  • Synthesis
  • Technical presentations and discussions
  • Adapt message to audiences
  • Experience with ASPICE standards
  • Experience in processes development and deployment.
  • Experience leading or developing technical risk assessments
  • Experience with DFMEAs

Requirements Engineering and Management related:

  • Experience performing as requirements engineer / manager.
  • Experience using Req mgt tools: (DOORS, JAMA, etc. )

Architecture related:

  • Experience as a system architect or subsystem architect

Verification and Integration related:

  • Experience as a system or subsystem integrator
  • Developed at least 1 system or subsystem integration plan
  • Developed at least 1 system or subsystem test plan

Qualification related:

  • Knowledge of customer's or market qualification standards and requirements
  • Experience developing qualification test plans for an external qualification laboratory.
