About the opportunity


This is a fantastic opportunity to join a reputable organisation when you will be able to utilse your fantastic leadership skills providing guidance and mentoring to the Supply Department.

In this Supply manager position, you are contributing to something BIGGER as you will be responsible for effectively managing the stock inventory levels to meet the demands of the hospital.

Some of the key responsibilities will include (but will not be limited to):

  • Providing effective leadership and support to a team of seven supply staff across two sites whilst nurturing and contributing to their positive team culture.
  • Ensuring effective stock management including upholding compliance and accuracy when reporting supply levels
  • Building effective relationships with Unit Managers and hospital staff members to update on supply related issues and achievable timelines
  • Undertake regular stock take processes to ensure adequate stock levels are maintained, ensue stock is rotated to meet the needs of the clinical and nonclinical departments, and to minimise expired products and reduce waste
  • Be responsible for safe work procedures and protocols and make sure training is provided to all supply team members around safe working
  • Actively participate as a team member to achieve team goals and to deliver a superior service to inhouse customers

About you
To be successful in securing this role, you will ideally possess:

  • Previous experience in a similar role of supply and purchasing
  • Have proven ability to manage and effective leadership to a team of supply staff
  • Have great attention to detail and strong IT literacy, preferably using a purchasing and inventory management system
  • Technology One experience would be advantageous
  • A high level of customer service with the ability to communicate and negotiate effectively
  • Possess the ability to think critically and problem solve
  • Have commercial awareness to ensure purchasing is within like of allocated budgets
  • Be a champion of a positive culture and team environment
