Join the RAC Insurance Claims team and know you are making a genuine difference to the lives of our members Our Claims Specialists are responsible for having telephone and online based conversations with our members when they need us most.

We have full time vacancies for Motor Claims Specialists, Recoveries Specialists and Home Claims Specialists which can be made available in a Permanent capacity or Fixed Term/Secondment , depending on your preference.

On a daily basis you will be contributing by:
  • Managing an individual caseload of Motor, Home or Recovery claims through to finalisation
  • Identify recovery action as part of effective claims management
  • Negotiate liability with other insurers and third parties for motor claims
  • Refer recovery claims to solicitors to litigation and oversee the litigation process
  • Review quotes and authorise repair costs
  • Negotiate on settlements for claims
  • Act as a technical referral point for internal teams
  • Provide empathy, understanding whilst handling complex conversations
  • Consistently provide service that exceeds member's expectations
  • Identify continuous improvement initiatives
What are we looking for?
  • Exceptional customer service skills and a high attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and strong negotiation skills
  • Ability to gather, collate and present evidence and make informed decisions
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex processes and decisions to our members
  • Results orientated mindset
  • Self-driven and motivated with the ability to work autonomously
  • Experience in Insurance claims lodgement and and/or knowledge of debt collection laws is desirable
  • Previous experience working within the financial services industry desirable
