The Role


We are looking for
Ward Support Assistants to join our team in providing the best of non-clinical support to the staff and patients and play a pivotal role in maintaining the clinical environment at the Alfred Hospital.

This role will be required to work AM, PM or Night shifts as requested as we work in a dynamic service environment, and the flexibility to meet the changing needs of our client is essential.

Full time or Part time roles are on offer.

Your tasks may include but not be limited to:

  • Care and Maintenance of the clinical environment
  • Restocking clinical supplies
  • Discharge and General Cleaning
  • Patient Repositioning
  • Pathology and general courier tasks

You should be able to demonstrate:

  • Excellent and effective communication skills in written and spoken English
  • Diligence and attention to detail
  • 1 or more years' experience working in a clinical environment desirable
  • Excellent Customer Service skills
  • An understanding of clinical confidentiality
  • Successful applicants
    must hold
    HSA Cert III
