ABOUT THE ROLE

The core purpose of the Schools Coordinator – QLD role is to coordinate our key school's product offerings and competitions right across Queensland. Reporting to the Participation & Programs Manager – Diversity, Inclusion & Schools, the position is key to growing participation and engagement through the professional and consistent delivery of our school programs & school competitions, including our State-wide AFLQ Schools Cup & key School Association partnerships. The role will also provide support to the broader Diversity, Inclusion & Schools team in QLD.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF

Key Accountabilities:

  • Coordinate the implementation, strategy, and growth of the Sporting Schools Program in QLD.
  • Coordinate our key school competitions through all aspects of administration, fixturing, logistics and delivery.
  • Implement and drive transition and engagement strategies from programs and competitions to junior club football.
  • Foster, maintain and develop relationships with key stakeholders across the education networks.
  • Maintain program and competition data bases including CRM, PlayHQ and OfficialsHQ.
  • Assist with event planning including schedules, budgets, and travel requirements.
  • Contribute to key projects within and outside of core role and support and contribute to the success of the broader team.

  • Understanding of AFL Schools programs and competitions in QLD.
  • Previous experience in competition coordination.
  • Demonstrated history in partnering with and influencing a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership and relationship management across a geographically diverse team.
  • Able to innovate, challenge convention and manage change.
