Who are we looking for?


Queensland University of Technology (QUT) is seeking a Engagement Coordinator, High School Engagement to join Marketing and Communication, Chancellery Division.


The Engagement Coordinator is responsible for the development and implementation of a range of high school engagement activities for the University including providing effective advice and coordination.

The Marketing and Communication Department is responsible for:

  • Engaging and recruiting future students;
  • Building and protecting QUT's brand
- awareness and reputation;

  • Ensuring communications from QUT are effective and of high professional


As well as professional services provided to the university community, the Department is responsible for a variety of corporate communication functions and oversees relevant policies, protocols and governance arrangements.

This role is dynamic and collaborative, and you will enjoy delivering service and operational excellence that ensures an exceptional experience for QUT students.


You will demonstrate:

  • Education, training and/or relevant experience equivalent to completion of a degree.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing and evaluating engagement strategies that target relevant audiences, including a strong call to action.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a small multidisciplinary team to deliver a high standard of client service.
  • High level communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated experience in liaising with senior internal and external stakeholders and an understanding of relationship management and engagement, as it relates to working in partnership with key providers.
  • Demonstrated high level written skills in developing proposals and plans.
  • Proven ability to develop, monitor and work within budget.
