About us:

Knox Private Hospital is one of the largest private hospitals in Victoria, caring for over 1.2 million people across Melbourne's east and outer east.

We have a 24/7 Emergency Department, covering a full range of medical and surgical specialty areas, including highly complex surgeries. Backed by the latest technology and expertise, we offer 15 theatres, including a hybrid theatre, diagnostic cardiology, two cardiac cath labs and capabilities for cardiothoracic surgery, orthopaedics, neurosurgery, urology and more. All supported by a newly expanded coronary care unit and intensive care unit.

Exciting new expansion for Knox Private Hospital

Work is almost complete on a major expansion of Knox Private Hospital that will help us continue to meet the growing demand for quality health care across Melbourne's east.

The new multi-million-dollar expansion will help Knox Private deliver an expanded and enhanced service offering for our patients and will further cement our reputation as a world-class healthcare facility.

2023/2024 Expansion Project includes:

Three story North Tower with two wards (60 beds), upgrade to Knox Heart Centre (our non-invasive diagnostic cardiology), both recently commissioned, upgrade and increase in ICU and CCU beds, 16 chair renal dialysis unit and Specialist Consulting Suites

As an ANUM - your responsibilities will include:

· Facilitate a learning culture to ensure continuous improvement

· Maintain professional and constructive working relationships with our VMO partners, using a customer service mindset, to enable high quality patient outcomes.

· Provide clinical operational direction for the unit to ensure efficient and effective management by coordinating the delivery of nursing care that is evidence based.

· Be accountable and responsible for the effective daily management of human, financial and material resources

· Coordinate and drive clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives

· Undertaking direct patient care, as required

· Mentoring of staff

Selection Criteria:

· 2-3 years of clinical experience in Coronary Care Unit

· Post graduate qualifications in critical care (Cardiac preferred)

· Current Registration with AHPRA

· Working with Children's check

· Team leadership experience is required

· Current or previous ANUM experience is desirable

· Sound clinical knowledge

· Compliance with ACQSHC National standards

· Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills

· Positive role modelling behaviours

· Ability to work across a rotating roster of AM/PM/ND shifts (permanent night duty available)

· Excellent customer service focus, time management and prioritisation

If you are successful, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant nursing experience against the current nursing Enterprise Agreement the "Healthscope - Victoria - Nurses' and Midwives' Agreement " (salaries range between $52.93 and $54.71 per hour).
