About This Opportunity
As an Administration Officer, you will have a key role in carrying out various administrative tasks to support team/office objectives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing administrative support and office coordination, including tasks related to projects such as scheduling, distributing documents, taking minutes, and coordinating RSVPs.
- Being the main point of contact for both internal and external inquiries, providing explanations of policies and procedures when necessary.
- Managing and organizing calendars for Impact Foundry Lead and team, managing reminders and speaking engagements.
- Cultivating and overseeing relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate operational targets.
- Handling office correspondence processing and drafting for stakeholder review, while establishing and managing efficient operating procedures.
We have both part-time (50% FTE) and full-time positions available until December 2026.
About You
- Prior experience in secretarial administrative roles showcasing strong customer service skills, including effective interpersonal abilities.
- Demonstrated proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Effective organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of University administrative systems, policies, and procedures, or the ability to quickly grasp this knowledge.
Additionally, the following mandatory requirements apply:
- Work Rights: Unrestricted work rights in Australia for the entire duration of this appointment are essential. Visa sponsorship is not an option for this position.
About the Food and Beverage Accelerator
Australia's Food and Beverage Accelerator (FaBA) is part of a $160 million initiative aimed at enhancing growth and innovation in the food and beverage manufacturing sector. This initiative, forming part of the Federal Government's Trailblazer Program, merges a $50m government investment with over $110m from universities and industry partners. FaBA operates within four areas: the research programs 'Innovative Ingredients' and 'Premium Food and Beverage Products', along with the enabling programs 'Innovation Pathways' and the 'FaBA Training Centre.'
FaBA, a nationwide effort, provides F&B manufacturers access to research teams, emerging industry experts, cutting-edge equipment, and pilot facilities. Proudly hosted by The University of Queensland, FaBA collaborates with QUT, UniSQ, and UniQuest.
