About the Position

As a result of our continuous expansion, we are excited to offer a splendid opportunity for an experienced Power BI Developer to participate in the deployment and integration of PowerBI. This role involves taking charge of training staff, creating data models, performing advanced analytics, and crafting tools to streamline access to business information both internally and externally.

The selected candidate will showcase their expertise in a commercial setting by collaborating with end users, operational managers, and data owners to produce user-friendly dashboards, reports, tools, and datasets for the organization.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • PowerBI development and administration
  • Generating visual reports, dashboards, and KPI scorecards using Power BI desktop
  • Handling data sources, data importation, and transformation for Business Intelligence
  • Implementing row level security and understanding application security models within Power BI
  • Utilizing advanced calculations on datasets
  • Designing methodology and project documentation
  • Developing tabular and multidimensional models adhering to warehouse standards
  • Prototyping, designing, and conducting requirement analysis
  • Understanding business needs and developing data models accordingly
  • Creating and scheduling Power BI reports based on business requirements
  • Presenting Power BI features through proof of concepts to enhance business value
  • Mentoring users in developing and deploying Data Models, Reports, and Dashboards
  • Collaborating closely with the IT team and Power Users for data extraction and transformation
  • Incorporating feedback from users to finalize dashboards
  • Performing data transformations for scalability across different categories
  • Optimizing processes for dashboard refresh in production environments

Requirements for Success:

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in data preparation and warehousing projects
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Microsoft Business Intelligence Stack including Power BI, SSAS, SSRS, SSIS
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional analytical and multitasking abilities
  • Attention to detail
