We are looking for experienced SQL Developers seeking an opportunity to make a significant impact. In this role, you'll not only hone your consulting expertise but also play a pivotal role in translating business requirements into performant, scalable code, which forms the backbone of this digital transformation program.

You'll thrive in our collaborative Agile environment, enhancing your problem-solving prowess alongside a supportive team.

We offer flexible work and a hybrid work environment to promote work-life balance. The work schedule is dependent on client demand but we ask for a minimum of 2 days in the CGI office/client site.

Your future duties and responsibilities:


•Work within a collaborative Agile team delivering effective and professional digital transformation solutions

•Engage with end-users to fully understand their requirements and translate into performant, scalable code

•Ensure your code meets quality expectations

•Develop documentation throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC)

•Respond to requests from stakeholders in a timely and professional manner to build strong working relationships

•Follow and improve the program delivery methodology and adhere to agreed sprint timelines

•Become a specialist in workflow and case management implementation through our comprehensive training program.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:


•10+ years of working knowledge of relational databases (SQL) including server-side programming languages: Oracle PL-SQL or Microsoft T-SQL

•Experience in writing complex and efficient SQL stored procedures

•Hands-on experience with CI/CD processes working with tools such as GitLab, Docker containers, and Git clients (e.g. GitKraken)

•Understanding of common API patterns (e.g. Microservices and file-based integration)

•A proven track record in providing exceptional customer service

•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

•Excellent communication and documentation skills

•Ability to work independently and as part of an inclusive team.

•Full permanent work rights for Australia.

The following skills/ experience is highly regarded:

•Reporting tools such as Yellowfin, PowerBI and Crystal reports

•Experience in application development using technologies such as JavaScript, Groovy Script, HTML, and Java

•Experience working on configuration-driven tools with custom code extensions

•DevOps experience.
