We are now recruiting for a Maintenance Manager to manage the day-to-day operations related to Maintenance and Grounds at our Winery in Tanunda SA.

The key responsibility of this role is the leadership and management of maintenance services to ensure the processing of grapes to wine is managed efficiently and effectively.


This role requires an approach of continuous improvement, focusing on improving documented management systems, plans and preventative maintenance programs, and compliance in WHS.

Applicants need to demonstrate a track record as an experienced tradesperson and manager of small teams.

Duties

  • Set programs with the maintenance and grounds staff
  • Ensuring equipment is ready for forecast demand for grape intake and processing requirements
  • Manage staff to ensure machinery breakdown is covered
  • Select and supervise contractors suitable for works and manage costs
  • Control access to buildings and ensure the appropriate level of security is maintained over inventory and plant & equipment
  • Monitor and control expenditure on maintenance
  • Establish preventative maintenance programs and ensure all preventative maintenance tasks are carried out on time and minimise any related downtime
  • Assist with concepts for capital works projects, research design options and prepare initial proposals for consideration by the Winery Site Manager
  • Ensure compliance with the Peter Lehmann Wines WHS program, report incidents and notices for equipment which requires maintenance
Skills and experience

  • 8 years plus experience in staff or site management above a trade role
  • Experience in managing preventative maintenance programs
  • Experience and demonstrated success in leading teams
  • An active approach and focus on WHS
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills


 IT Competence
  • Microsoft suite and basic maintenance programs
