Role Summary:
HR/IR Specialist
CHC Helicopter is a leader in the provision of helicopter support to the offshore energy market, search & rescue and government departments, as well as organizations requiring helicopter maintenance, repair and overhaul services through its Heli-One division.

CHC Helicopter Australia is looking for a
HR/IR Specialist who will be an integral part of the APAC Human Resources team. The role will be based in Perth, reporting to the Senior Manager, Human Resources (APAC). This role is responsible for providing IR specialist support to its Asia Pacific Operations.
This newly created role has the primary purpose of driving CHC's performance through high quality Employee & Industrial Relations strategy and service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for daytoday management of employee/industrial relations, including industrial instruments, strategy, compliance, and disputation.
- Lead enterprise bargaining negotiations across all APAC operations, including preparation, planning, engagement of stakeholders, and implementation.
- Be the primary contact for union representatives.
- Represent the business in the FWC (as required) regarding employee and industrial relations matters.
- Assist in the development and implementation of industrial relations strategies and plans with management, finance and other internal stakeholders.
- Develop systems of work and program projects aimed at ensuring compliance, maximising workplace efficiencies, management flexibilities, cost breakthroughs and enhance our competitiveness in current and future commercial contracts.
- Work with internal stakeholders to develop industrial relations solutions and manage the EIR management plans for clients, including risk and mitigations portfolio.
- Managing, where required, complex workplace matters (investigations, grievances, or disputes).
Qualifications, Skills & Attributes:
- We are looking for a seasoned professional, with sound industrial relations knowledge who enjoys being part of a hands on operational team.
- This will suit someone who thrives in fastpaced environment; there's never a dull moment at CHC.
- You take pride in delivering high quality work, with excellent interpersonal skills, empathy, time management, collaboration and teamwork skills, and the ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
- You are Degree qualified in HR, Psychology, Employee or Industrial Relations, or Employment/Industrial Law.
- Have experience within a large Australian operations and/or complex matrix organisation.
- Demonstrable experience in all facets of negotiating enterprise agreements covering large groups of employees with multiple union representatives.
- Experience in case management and advocacy in the FWC.
- You have a team mindset and strong business acumen, with broad knowledge of workplace relations matters where you thrive on supporting the operations and working collaboratively with support functions.
