Position in context
Reporting to the Head of Digital Engagement, the Digital Marketing Manager is a key role within the Development and Communications Department. This role is formally based in South Melbourne.

We support our staff to work flexibly, both in location and hours, based on the premise that work will remain the focus of any arrangement.

How and where you work is discussed with each staff member based on individual circumstances, role requirements and accountability for delivery of high-quality work.


Major job responsibilities

  • Plan and execute digital campaigns for awareness and acquisition with a strong focus on lead generation and conversion across multiple digital channels, including all paid digital activity for acquisition and retargeting campaigns across social media and SEM.
  • Advise on strategy and content for the Foundation's social media channels, working closely with the Content and Brand team and across departments to ensure a cohesive brand narrative.
  • Work with the Supporter Experience & Insights Manager to develop reports to measure performance against our KPIs for digital marketing activities and campaigns, generate actionable insights and learnings and communicate to relevant stakeholders.
  • Manage SEO including our Google Business Profile and monitoring of reviews, respond to customer feedback and maintain a positive online reputation
  • Collaborate with the Supporter Experience & Insights Manager to ensure a smooth online donation process through to our CRM (Raiser's Edge NXT).
  • Stay up to date with the latest digital marketing trends and best practices and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Create a highperforming team culture including coaching and developing team members to successfully achieve Team, Department and Organisational KPIs and Strategic Plan,
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues across the Foundation and assist them to effectively identify and maximise content and channel opportunities.
  • Support the Development & Fundraising team to achieve their revenue and supporter engagement goals by building and executing engaging and supporter centric digital experiences and communications.
  • Undertake out of hours social media monitoring on rostered days.
  • Contribute positively to the Foundation's culture through developing and maintaining collaborative relationships with colleagues.
  • Other tasks as directed by the Head of Digital Engagement, Director, Development & Communications, CEO and Executive Leadership Team.

Knowledge, Experience & Requirements

  • Minimum of five years of experience in digital marketing or campaign management role in a complex consumer environment or notforprofit organisation.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data to drive decisionmaking.
  • Excellent project management skills, with proven experience in delivering largescale website development projects, including the ability to work under pressure and effectively prioritise differing work demands to meet competing deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail, and ability to translate copy into effective digital campaigns, and generate written reports and PIRs for management review.
  • Team management and leadership skills to provide coaching and support to direct reports.
  • Ability to work outside standard office hours for key events and social media management, as required.
  • Working with Children Check and Police Check.
