CoomaMonaro, Australia Snowy Hydro Full time

Job Description

A Unique Opportunity Awaits

Embark on an exciting journey with Snowy 2.0, a significant project within the Snowy Scheme's legacy and Australia's leading renewable energy initiative. By focusing on delivering energy on demand and providing extensive storage capacity, Snowy 2.0 stands as a vital asset for future generations in the country's shift towards a low-carbon emissions future.

The Setting

Situated in Cooma, surrounded by the picturesque Snowy Mountains, your days will start with breathtaking views. Immerse yourself in a vibrant community and a lifestyle full of outdoor activities, from skiing and hiking to fishing and mountain biking.

Depending on your role and location, we offer FIFO, DIDO, and relocation options. For those moving to the area, we understand that transitioning to a regional setting can be both thrilling and daunting. Hence, we provide a flexible relocation package and dedicated support to ease your move to regional life. We are confident you will embrace this new chapter.

The Role

As the Procurement Specialist, you will be a crucial part of supporting the Snowy Hydro Procurement Lead in securing optimal value for the Snowy 2.0 Project. Your responsibilities include managing procurement programs efficiently, overseeing contractor procurement activities, and enhancing overall procurement processes through continuous improvements and data management.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the development and management of a comprehensive Procurement Management Plan essential for the Snowy 2.0 Project.
  • Developing and managing essential documents for tender execution, such as contracts, tender packs, and evaluation tools.
  • Assisting in the efficient management of ongoing tenders and ensuring adherence to critical deadlines.
  • Playing a role in the execution of contracts by managing negotiations between suppliers and key stakeholders.
  • Maintaining detailed records throughout procurement planning, tendering, and contract execution phases.
  • Developing tools to monitor and report project progress.
  • Providing oversight and support to all contractor procurement activities.

Your Contribution to the Team:

Ideally, you will have a Bachelor's degree or relevant experience in procurement, contract management, commercial, engineering, or project management. Knowledge of procurement and supply chain value drivers is advantageous, along with strong analytical skills and commercial acumen. Effective stakeholder management and interpersonal skills will be key to building lasting relationships.

The Team

At our core, we believe in teamwork. If you are interested in being part of a collaborative environment, then this team is the right fit for you. We look forward to having you on board with the Snowy 2.0 team.
