Mercy Community, a progressive Not-For-Profit offering diverse services, is seeking a
Finance Business Partner to join our team based in Nudgee.

This role will be instrumental in managing the month-end processes whilst producing accurate information in the accounting systems relating to Disability Supports.

You will ensure data integrity, month-end reporting, and the delivery of information in accordance with timeframes provided and statutory compliance obligations are met.


Key responsibilities in this role include:

  • Partner with the business to provide sound financial advice.
  • Be the interface from Finance for the Executive, Senior Leadership and operational staff.
  • Provide operations with value adding improvements to increase revenue or reduce cost.
  • Perform financial modelling for operations to assist with future business performance.
  • Conduct meetings with senor operations staff and interpret financial data and provide action items.
  • Prepare monthly management analysis and reports including journals associated with the delivery of month and year end.
  • Prepare accruals and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Prepare annual and quarterly program acquittals.
  • Assist with the standardisation of procedures and reporting within the Finance function.
  • Engage with relevant stakeholders to develop annual budget and forecasts for internal and external purposes.
  • Provide financial support, analysis, and ad hoc analytical reviews as required.

About you
You will hold tertiary qualifications in Accounting, and a CA/CPA qualification or currently working towards it.

To be successful, you will have demonstrated experience in a similar role along with advanced Excel capabilities and experience with large financial systems such as TechOne.
