We're working with a well-established Australian brand seeking a talented professional to contribute their creativity and expertise to the design department.

As a vital member of their team, you'll collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and fellow designers to craft captivating digital experiences across both web and app platforms.

This is a 12 month fixed term contract and they can offer an hybrid working model.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Spearhead and lead the design process for web and app interfaces, crafting UX deliverables such as personas, user journeys, wireframes, prototypes, and component libraries.
  • Cultivate and manage highfidelity visual designs and design systems that harmonise with brand guidelines and enhance usability.
  • Partner with product owners to identify and assess user challenges, effectively translating them into actionable requirements.
  • Take the lead in qualitative user research efforts, extracting insights to guide design decisions collaboratively with other design experts.
  • Innovate by creating wireframes and interactive prototypes for user testing, and iterate based on valuable user feedback.
  • Collaborate closely with product owners and stakeholders, ingraining humancentered design practices into project guidance.
  • Organise and facilitate humancentered design sessions with stakeholders, fostering a collective comprehension of user needs, business goals, and project objectives.
  • Liaise with developers to ensure technical feasibility, communicating design specifications, and troubleshooting implementation issues.
  • Exhibit adeptness in managing multiple projects across the product lifecycle, from discovery through to implementation.
  • Present research insights and design solutions, effectively communicating how these solutions address user and business needs.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a UX design role, preferably with project leadership responsibilities.
  • Handson experience with design systems, standards, and responsive design strategies.
  • Mastery of design tools like Figma, Sketch, InVision, Photoshop, or equivalent platforms.
  • A thoughtfully curated portfolio that underlines your prowess in generating usercentric designs.
  • Proven expertise in designing for native mobile apps, demonstrating an understanding of modern interaction design principles.
  • Exceptional communication skills, adept at presenting design solutions with impact.
  • Strong time management skills, allowing for effective multitasking and project prioritisation.
  • Prior involvement in Agile development teams, showcasing familiarity with Agile methodologies.
