Your role:
The Army Reserve is looking for experienced Anaesthetists.
In this role you will have the opportunity to work in a variety of environments and unique situations, providing anaesthetic and critical care retrieval on military exercises and operational deployments.
You'll work within field hospitals that meet Australian healthcare standards and are fully equipped with all the tools you'll require for your role.
During exercises and on deployments, you'll need to be quick thinking and flexible for any situation and work outside your comfort zone.
When you're not on deployment and exercises, you'll receive opportunities you won't get anywhere else and gain skills that will enhance your practice both in and out of the Army Reserve.
If you're interested in giving back and using your experience and qualifications in a unique and challenging new way, then a part-time role in the Army Reserve could be perfect for you.
Wage:
The pay you receive in the Army Reserve goes straight into your pocket with no deductions for tax, and it increases as you gain seniority and experience.
Life in the Army Reserve:
Thousands of men and women enjoy part-time roles with the Army Reserve, operating alongside full-time Army personnel. The only difference is that your commitment is flexible.
Initial training can be undertaken in 2 week modules to give you flexibility around your normal work commitments. You will need to serve a minimum of 20 days per year.
Following this your service could involve a commitment of one night a week or fortnight and a few weekends a year.
There may even be the opportunity for, extended periods away.
We do our best to make sure this fits in with your work and family commitments; and deployments are voluntary so if you choose to stay local, there are plenty of ways to make a difference closer to home.
For this role, you must hold the Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists and full and unrestricted registration with AHPRA to practice as a specialist Anaesthetist.
