This is an exceptional opportunity to work as a full-time, permanent Anaesthetist at a leading tertiary referral centre and major University teaching hospital in Tasmania.
As a senior member of the anaesthetic team, you will be responsible for providing pre and peri-operative anaesthetic care to surgical and obstetric patients, and will have input into the management of patients in the High Dependency Unit and in emergency situations.
About the DepartmentThe department is an accredited training facility, and as such, you will be required to supervise junior medical staff, including Principal House Officers, Junior House Officers, and Registrars.

About the FacilityThe 550-bed tertiary hospital is Tasmania's largest hospital, employing over 3000 people, and provides specialist services to a population of around 250,000 people. It is accredited with ANZCA for 36 months and works closely with the University of Tasmania and other institutions.
RequirementsTo be considered for this role, you will need to hold the FANZCA or postgraduate qualifications and experience in anaesthetics that meet ANZCA requirements for practising in this position, or have equivalent qualifications and experience from New Zealand or other countries.
