We are seeking a highly skilled Anaesthetist to join our team at Charterhouse Medical.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work as a full-time, permanent Anaesthetist at Tasmania's tertiary referral centre and major University teaching hospital.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide pre and peri-operative anaesthetic care to surgical and obstetric patients
  • Supervise junior medical staff, including Principal House Officers, Junior House Officers, and Registrars
  • Contribute to the management of patients in the High Dependency Unit and emergency situations

About the Facility

The hospital is a 550-bed tertiary facility, accredited with ANZCA for 36 months, and works closely with the University of Tasmania and other institutions.

Requirements

  • Hold the FANZCA or postgraduate qualifications and experience in anaesthetics meeting ANZCA requirements
  • NZ FANZCA or IMG with training assessed by ANZCA and a substantially comparable outcome
