We are seeking an experienced Group Therapist to join our Inpatient Services| permanent full-time or part-time position – you choose
About the Role
The role will involve planning and facilitation of Group Therapy Sessions, which provide support, skills and education in the treatment and management of mental illness. You will also provide individual support to inpatients in the form of skills building, goal setting and discharge planning and will work closely with a multidisciplinary team in order to create and deliver suitable treatment plans to each individual.
You will be joining a multidisciplinary team of psychologists, occupational therapists and mental health social workers working to deliver high quality and effective group psychotherapy.
Your Skills and Experience
To succeed in this role, you will be a motivated, energetic and flexible team player with a high degree of professionalism. You will have excellent clinical and communication skills and strive to have a positive impact on the wellbeing of patients.
- Relevant mental health profession registration and qualifications
- Experience with Dialectical Behaviour Therapy
- Preferred experience in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, and other therapeutic modalities.
- Experience in facilitating group therapy
- Excellent customer service skills and be able to work autonomously
- Demonstrated initiative and creative thinking
Remuneration
On offer is an hourly rate ranging from $ $54.77 + superannuation based on qualifications and experience. Exclusive of penalties and allowances.
