About the Role

The Group Therapist will be responsible for planning and facilitating Group Therapy Programs, providing support, skills, and education in the treatment and management of mental illness.

This role involves working with a multidisciplinary team of psychologists, occupational therapists, and mental health social workers to deliver high-quality and effective group psychotherapy.

The ideal candidate will have experience in providing individual therapy and be able to work autonomously, with excellent clinical and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and facilitate Group Therapy Programs
  • Provide individual therapy support to inpatients
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients and their families
  • Contribute to the development of clinical programs and services
Requirements
  • Relevant mental health profession registration and qualifications
  • Experience with Dialectical Behaviour Therapy
  • Preferred experience in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, and other therapeutic modalities
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to work autonomously
  • Demonstrated initiative and creative thinking
