What you will be doing
- This role is intended to evolve based on the needs of the business, ensuring that Regulatory Compliance is focused on initiatives which support the Open Colleges' strategy, the Regulatory Compliance annual strategy as well as responding to key risk or focus areas.
- Participate in prerelease validations for all new course materials as part of the course release process
- Administer the postrelease validation schedule, including collating samples, and managing resources
- Meet regulatory deadlines, properly document sessions and report on findings.
- Provide support on implementing recommendations, improvements and outcomes from both prerelease and postrelease validations.
- Drive process and technological improvements for the management of all validations.
- Participate in internal monitoring reviews, as allocated by the Regulatory Compliance Manager.
- Provide general compliance support for the organisation on a range of matters including: VET Quality Framework, Quality Management System (QMS), and policies and procedures.
- Working on allocated initiatives arising out of the Regulatory Compliance annual strategy, as determined by the Regulatory Compliance Manager and/ or Head of Legal & Compliance.
Your skills & Experience
- Current Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (desirable) or plan to obtain it
- Experience working in compliance within vocational education and training, and Registered Training Organisations
- Positive and supportive communication style with experience across a variety of key stakeholders
- Uptodate working knowledge of key legislation, policies and procedures relevant to Registered Training Organisations including RTO Standards
- Continuous improvement experience and skills in optimising work processes
- Ability to plan, control, coordinate and manage activities with mínimal supervision
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- A selfstarter who has accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to be flexible and adapt to change
- Effective communication and collaboration with stakeholders
