About the Role:


The Policy and Compliance Advisor will support the maintenance and development of Minda's policy framework and Policy Register including facilitating implementation, development and administration.

The role will ensure Minda has effective policies, procedures and frameworks in place for compliance with its legal and regulatory obligations including in support of its licensing and accreditation.

The position is also a designated Privacy Officer and will support the ongoing implementation of Minda's Privacy Policy.

In this Role you will be responsible for:

Policy

  • Administer the Group Policy Frameworks and Policy Register
  • Support the business in its implementation of the Policy Framework and its continual review and development
  • Contribute to policy and procedure review, development, and implementation as required
  • Mentor the organisation in policy and procedure writing and development

Compliance

  • Support the development and implementation of the Minda Compliance Framework containing key legal and regulatory obligations and the control environment supporting compliance
  • Maintain and develop the compliance Obligations Register and other required tools supporting the Compliance Framework
  • Produce compliance reporting and assist with assurance processes as required
  • Support audits (internal, external, third party) in order to verify that regulatory and quality requirements are being met

Privacy and Documentation Management

  • Assist with the administration of the Minda Document Control and Privacy frameworks as required
  • Assist with the administration of controlled documents as required
  • Proactively look for opportunities to drive continuous improvement


You will possess relevant tertiary level qualification or equivalent experience in implementation and maintenance of compliance framework, policies, and procedures ideally with 2-5 years' experience as a technical writer / policy writer.


Additionally, you will possess:

  • Experience in assessing compliance with legislation, and reporting on analysis and outcomes.
  • Experience in maintaining compliance frameworks, quality systems, processes, and practice.
  • Experience in relevant standards and legislation, including ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems
  • An understanding of contemporary issues in the disability sector preferred
  • Must have sound knowledge and experience in Microsoft SharePoint
  • Good understanding of standard document management processes
  • Highly organised and able to work in a fastpaced team environment
  • High attention to detail with excellent writing, editing, interpretation and communication skills
  • Adapt rapidly to a changing industry and able to adjust responsibilities, time and objectives accordingly
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (checking and formatting of documents).
  • Skills and experience in supporting users of an electronic documentation system including providing on the ground assistance and troubleshooting, utilising a range of tools.

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (or Valid DHS Disability Screening)
  • Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module
  • Current Driver's Licence
  • Unrestricted Working Rights
  • COVID Vaccinations (2+ booster)
