About us
INFANT, CHILD & YOUTH AREA MENTAL HEALTH & WELLBEING SERVICE (ICYAMHWS)
Alfred ICYAMHWS is one component of the Department of Mental & Addiction Health at Alfred Health.
We are a community-based service providing comprehensive assessment, treatment and case management to infants, children, adolescents and young people up to the age of 25 years of age presenting with behavioural, emotional, psychiatric or developmental difficulties.
ICYAMHWS provides clinical services in partnership with a wide range of service providers to achieve the best possible outcomes. Alfred ICYAMHWS is committed to active participation by families and young people in evaluating and improving our services.The Mental Health & Intellectual Disability Initiative for Youth (MHIDI-Y) Team, falls under the Neurodevelopmental Stream. The Neurodevelopmental stream is a 0-25-year service incorporating, neuropsychiatry, developmental assessment and management service and MHIDI youth. This stream specialises in the overlap between psychiatry, neurology, medicine and disability.
The team provides multidisciplinary assessment and case management for children and young people with delays/impairments in several areas of development with additional emotional, social and behavioural problems.
The neurodevelopmental team seeks to support families of children and young people and to prevent secondary psychiatric impairment by means of early detection and management of dual disabilities.
What you'll be doing
This is a mental health clinician role consisting predominantly of case management, youth and family mental health assessment with in a multidisciplinary team, youth, parent and family based intervention work and opportunities for group work.

- Current Working with Children Check and be willing to undergo a Background Check
