An exciting opportunity exists for a new graduate social worker to join our team at St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne. To be successful in this role, you will have completed a hospital-based placement and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments and develop effective intervention plans.
- Liaise with patients, families, and carers to coordinate and facilitate patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement and research activities to enhance patient outcomes.
- Provide supervision and participate in clinical education programs to support the development of junior staff.
- Bachelor Degree or Qualifying Masters in Social Work with graduation in the last 12 months.
- Eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
- Social work experience in a hospital inpatient care setting is essential.
- Current National criminal history check, or willingness to obtain.
