About the role:

This position is responsible for providing engineering expertise, scoping, designing, and estimating distribution, sub-transmission, and station projects. The role also involves minor survey works, asset recording, and ensuring the implementation of appropriate policies and procedures related to distribution and sub-transmission assets.

What you'll deliver:

  • Provide effective engineering design and advice for underground lines, overhead lines, and substations.
  • Verify designs according to standards and company requirements.
  • Assist in developing design standards and policies.
  • Apply drafting techniques for project plans.
  • Manage design projects within agreed constraints.
  • Offer technical expertise and mentoring to design personnel.
  • Monitor and review network designs for time, costs, and quality.
  • Maintain knowledge of GIS and AutoCAD applications.

To succeed in the role, you'll have:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
  • Demonstrated work experience in distribution design projects.
  • Either National Engineering Registration (NER) or Registered Professional Engineer of Professional Australia (RPEng) registrations.
  • Proficiency in AutoCad.
  • Proven ability in project Design Management principles.
  • Experience in customer and stakeholder negotiation.
