The Housing Industry Association is Australia's peak private sector building industry body, representing builders, trade contractors, manufacturers, suppliers and related industry participants.

As a national industry organisation, HIA's primary role is to represent and advance the interests of its members.

An exciting opportunity has opened for a highly motivated and proactive Event Administrator to join our dynamic and collaborative team

As an integral member of the HIA events team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and successful execution of our events.

With an immediate start available, this is your chance to dive right in and contribute to exciting projects from day one.


Key Responsibilities

  • Administration duties to support the delivery of HIA's annual calendar of events and awards
  • Maintain accurate records and event spread sheets
  • Service event partners and sponsors
  • Supporting our members leading up to HIA's events is an important part of this role; you'll require strong customer service and communication skills

About You

  • At least 2 years demonstrated experience in corporate events or minimum of 5 years in an administrative role (essential)
  • Able to maintain high levels of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Selfstarter with initiative and adaptable
  • Well organised and able to multitask
  • Able to prioritise competing activities
  • Sound understanding and proven proficiency in Microsoft Suite
  • Tech savvy
  • Comfortable with learning new or unfamiliar software
  • Exposure to coordinating or working on award programs (desirable)
