A Government Organisation looking for a Diversity and Inclusion Specialist to join their team.

You will be reporting to the Manager of Workforce Capability and Engagement and will be responsible for the delivery of key strategic workforce initiatives.


Responsibilities:

  • Delivering complex initiatives such as programs to promote diversity, inclusion and belonging.
  • Support the Department's Diversity and Inclusion Network.
  • Monitoring and reporting on the achievement of required outcomes and targets for inclusions and belonging programs.
  • Develop submissions, briefs, presentations and project documentation for organisation wide diversity and inclusion programs.
  • Managing the department's Women in Emerging Leadership mentoring program, including contractor management, staff engagement, communications, and evaluation.
  • Designing workshops on a range of diversity and inclusion topics for the workforce.

Key Criteria:

  • 5+ experience in a similar role.
  • Support strategic direction through demonstrated ability and relevant knowledge of equity and diversity practices and principles.
  • Achieves results through proven ability to prioritise, schedule and perform work to meet deadlines, commitments, and client service standards.
  • Communicate with influence through demonstrated interpersonal communication, consultation, negotiation and team skills, and the ability to establish and maintain effective and collaborative relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
