Technology & ICT Service Design Lead

REPORTS TO:
ICT Program Director

LOCATION:

POSITION PURPOSE & CONTEXT

ICT Service Design Lead will provide specialist ICT solution architecture and ICT service design services to enable the successful delivery and operationalisation of projects within Clients ICT Program of works.

This Program has been established to implement a range of ICT-related uplift projects to deliver various outcomes for the organisation.


These outcomes include:
ACCOUNTABILITIES/OUTCOMES
Solution Architecture and Design Services

Establish relationships with other key personnel to identify cross project commonalities and synergies, ensuring Clients common ICT solutions are identified to limit the number of different ICT products and services introduced into Client.

Actively participate in ICT procurement activities to assess and/or advise on suitability of ICT solutions, products and services being proposed.

Ensure all required Architecture and Design artefacts are developed, maintained and approved (where applicable).
ICT Service Design and Transition Services

Develop options and models to address required changes to existing IT operating model, ensuring suitable skills and capacity ICT operational services are in place.

Ensure key operational processes and procedures are developed and documented.
Ensure common operational support patterns are identified and standardised support activities and procedures developed and implemented.
Responsible for creating and leading the Service Design Assessments, Support Plans and Service Acceptance Criteria.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERTISE REQUIREMENTS
The Qualifications and Expertise required for the Technology & ICT Service Design Lead role are:
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
Certification or equivalent experience developing solutions within commonly used IT architectural frameworks (eg TOGAF, FEAF, Zachman).
Service Management qualifications (with ITIL Version 3 or 4 Foundation at a minimum).
