As a Payments Officer you will be providing exceptional customer service to our internal and external customers and adding value to customers for all processes completed within the Deposits and Card Maintenance team.

You will be equipped with the expert knowledge of Payments, Transaction Disputes and Deposits and be required to check payments for risk and understanding the financial impacts of payment loss to the Bank Cost to Income Ratio.

This is a full-time role based in Brisbane.

What you'll doComplete Suncorp system validation, error checking and associated tasks according to Suncorp processUpdate and maintain the Suncorp workflow management and error tracking tools in a timely manner.

Identify and develop required updates to the Genpact Standard Operating Procedures (GSOP) & the Bank Procedure Manual (BPM).Actively work in partnership with our vendor to resolve any issues or outstanding matters raised by the vendor.

Actively work to build a strong relationship with our vendors to ensure consistency of service and quality is maintained.
Review and action various types of Payments, Transaction Disputes and Deposit tasks.
Identify and raise areas of opportunity aligned with both the team and the department's priorities.
What you'll bringMinimum 5 years' experience within Banking Services. Able to demonstrate an above average Risk maturity and understanding of Risk Management and consequence Management in our Business.
High level of written and verbal communication skills required.
Experience with product systems such as Hogan, ALLFI and CRM is advantageous.
Experience in a customer-focused environment is appropriate but not mandatory.
High level of attention to detail.
Ability to adhere to strict timeframes.
Ability to prioritise workload and manage use of own time.
