About the role

In this role you will report into the Head of Operations your key focus will be to work with a group of suppliers to ensure online store availability. This role is charged with driving end to end optimisation of supply chain by identifying and delivering efficiencies and cost reduction.

As a Supply Chain Planner, you will have the opportunity to develop innovative solutions to tackle on supply chain challenges across planning, sourcing and fulfilment. You will support planning, execution, and improvement of promotions, events and ranging decisions. This includes ensuring the effective delivery of end-to-end (supplier to end consumer) execution and delivery of inventory requirements (DIFOT, working capital) while concurrently managing efficiently (lowest landed cost)

You will be responsible for category portfolio forecasts by determining, reviewing and adjusting baseline, promotion and event forecasts. Managing day to day supply in line with current business expectations for availability (DIFOT), waste, and stock cover (WC) Monitor inventory levels and ensure working capital is optimised.

You will be required to manage category portfolio forecasts by reviewing and adjusting demand plans and forecast for impacts of term attributes, such as seasonality or trends, and advanced forecasts. You will be required to promote and achieve Supply Chain strategy by delivering optimal forecast accuracy which translates to supply chain velocity and improved shelf life of products

A key requirement for this role is sales forecasting experience and strong numeric and financial skills.

About you and your skills

  • 3-5-year experience ideally within retail or FMGG
  • Experience managing portfolio stock flow through the end-to-end supply chain by:
  • Managing stock flow to meet availability, stock and waste outcomes including requesting amendments to purchase orders.
  • Monitoring inventory levels at each node in the supply chain to ensure working capital is optimised, including managing actions associated with MLOR (Minimum Life on Receipt) aged stock, and SLOB stocks.
  • Developing effective internal and external stakeholder relationships with Merchandise Team, Marketing team, Store Support Centre team, Distribution Centre(s) team, and Suppliers
  • Manage the end-end range in / out / exit process to ensure that supply chain decisions are made at the appropriate point in the critical path.
  • Forecast and maintain accurate sales, tactic history and relevant inputs to support execution of the replenishment approach to ensure the right product is available at the right time in the right place (for both planned and unplanned events e.g., supply chain disruptions)
  • Work with supplier, DC and merchandising colleagues to develop an in depth understanding of the supply chain and identify opportunities to reduce cost and stock holding and improve availability and service.
  • Demonstrate ability to meet and exceed key financial targets to ensure profitable BU growth as a result of correct forecasting.
  • Ensure revenue is maximised by delivering strong stock availability
  • Advanced Excel skills (VBA, Power Query and Data Modelling) is a bonus.
