About the Role

The Training and Compliance Lead is responsible for working and liaising closely with our clients, HSEQ Industry, and the Business Units to ensure industry compliance in developing and improving the technology, systems, processes, and training requirements of personnel working on the Electricity Distribution Networks.

The Training & Compliance Lead role reports to the Organizational Development Lead.
What will you be responsible for?
Assist the QSE team as lead investigator and/or reviewer for ICAM investigations in relation to significant incidents, as required.
Oversee Business Unit's audit program and conduct "independent" onsite field and vehicle audits (inc.
subcontractors) to ensure compliance with business and contractual requirements.

Co-ordinate all training requirements including refreshers within the Business Units and for subcontractors to meet industry training compliance requirements, and working with the Business Unit's Administrator to ensure the relevant training information is maintained via the systems used within the Electrical industry (i.e., ESI worker) and the nominated internal compliance tool.

Develop and manage overseas and interstate workers training plans, as required.
Actively coordinate the apprenticeship recruitment in conjunction with the HR Team.
Develop Apprentice, and overseas worker accreditation/training plans and progression plans with oversight of apprentice journaling.

Support the recruitment of field personnel and liaise with Contract Managers and the HR Team to ensure internal (i.e., induction) and external (qualifications) onboarding are completed and compliant for internal field personnel and subcontractor field personnel.

Utilising Cert IV Trainer and Assessor qualifications, undertake accredited and non-accredited training of new or current employees to assist with authorisation of field personnel on the networks, as required.

Build training and compliance relationships with network companies and RTO's as a central point of contact.
Perform other duties as directed by the Organisational Development Lead from time to time.
Be responsible for weekly and monthly reporting on training compliance to networks.
Support Business Units in reviewing SWMS and JSA's and assist with the building of new procedures and work instructions.
