THE OPPORTUNITY
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the TAFE NSW Class Support team as a Technical Assistant. In this Permanent Full-time position, you will be joining the Class Support Staff in our Regional Engineering Team.

In this role you will be providing high level customer service to support the effective and efficient delivery of educational programs.

This position will require working to a roster and to carry out manual handling activities

ABOUT YOU
Working in a supportive environment, you will play a vital role in assisting with the delivery of educational programs.

Your experience in a Metal Fabrication and Engineering and well-developed knowledge of tools and equipment will be key in this role.

Your initiative to identify and organise resources required by students and staff will deliver service excellence. You will enjoy working in a performance driven team with strong values and integrity.

If you have

  • Trade certificate appropriate to classification or equivalent or relevant industry experience
  • Knowledge and experience of equipment and materials used within the area of employment
  • Ability to identify and perform minor maintenance on tools, equipment and machinery used within the area of employment
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision and as an effective team member
  • Ability to use a computer and software packages
  • Proven ability in communication, organisational and customer service skills.
  • Possession of or willingness to obtain appropriate Workcover operator and Forklift certificates.
