About the Role

Elders Rural is seeking a highly skilled Agronomist to join our team in Mount Gambier. As an Agronomist, you will play a critical role in providing technical advice and support to our clients, helping them to achieve their agricultural goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide onsite agronomic and technical support to clients, recommending appropriate products and services to strengthen their business

• Achieve allocated financial objectives and assist with product forecasting and inventory management

• Promote branch staff upskilling by providing technical advice and product recommendations

• Develop and foster professional relationships with a targeted group of existing and new clients

• Identify and cultivate new agronomic sales opportunities for prospective and existing clients

• Maximise promotional opportunities, including assisting at field days and farmer meetings with demonstrations and trial work

About You

• You will be a highly motivated and results-driven individual with a passion for agriculture and a strong understanding of agronomic principles

• You will have a background in disciplines such as crop, weed, disease, pasture, broadacre, cotton, and horticulture

• You will have a proven track record in sales and previous experience in an agronomy role

• You will have an ability to provide high-level customer service and cultivate relationships with potential and current growers

• You will have a tertiary qualification in agricultural science or a related field
