Reporting to the Coordinator IT Operations your primary focus is on providing ICT technical knowledge and support for the management of the City's ICT infrastructure.


This role is responsible for performing system monitoring and analysis, performance tuning, trouble shooting and escalating issues, including proactive problem resolutions to maintain systems performance to meet business demand.

You will also develop, maintain and perform operational procedures, evaluate, plan and implement new system hardware and software solutions, and collect and analyse operational data to identify emerging trends.


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge in the installation, configuration and support of:
  • Microsoft Server and Messaging solutions (including Active Directory, Group Policy and Exchange)
  • Server Virtualisation (VMWare and Cisco HyperFlex)
  • Microsoft Software Configuration Manager (SCCM CB)
  • Network switching and routing (Cisco and Meraki)
  • Backup solution (Veeam)
  • Experience in managing servers, related storage systems and backup technologies.
  • Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or demonstrated capacity to progress towards achieving these qualifications.
This position offers a gross salary of
$88,049 per annum and in addition we offer:

  • 11% superannuation plus the opportunity to co-contribute up to 5%
