Coordinator – Metallurgy Production

About the role:

In this position, you will be responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient operation of MRM Ore Preparation, Concentrator, Concentrate Haulage and Bagging, TSF, and Water Management. Your role will involve establishing and maintaining safe practices to meet production targets economically while driving sustainable enhancements. Additionally, you will implement and sustain hazard and risk management systems and provide guidance to work teams to ensure compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

- Support incident and injury management processes.
- Oversee the MRM Production department to ensure safe operations under Glencore SafeWork Practices and Life Saving Behaviours.
- Manage activities and resources within the MRM Production area, including labor and resource allocation.
- Ensure the preparedness, training, and competence of direct reports.
- Optimize shift operating costs by efficiently utilizing the dry hire fleet and labor hire contractors.
- Conduct routine operational inspections to uphold safe practices and regulations.
- Strategize shift operations to diminish downtime and unplanned halts proactively.
- Cultivate a high-performance environment within the MRM Production department.
- Educate and guide MRM operations personnel on effective practices and procedures.
- Assist the Production Superintendent in achieving production targets and KPIs.
- Collaborate with different departments and stakeholders for business continuity.
- Develop and contribute to procedures, training materials, and standard work instructions.
- Ensure MRM Production crews comply with regulatory standards.

Successful applicant will have:

- Proficiency in Metallurgy Ore Preparation, Concentrator, Concentrate Haulage and Bagging, TSF, and Water Management.
- Familiarity with risk management, safety protocols, and legal prerequisites for surface mining.
- Experience in supervising and nurturing large work teams to drive business performance.
- Basic Microsoft Office Suite skills, especially in Excel.
- Knowledge and experience with the Ellipse program.
- Background in budgeting processes.
