DARWIN SUN INDUSTRIES PTY LTD is looking for a Mango Farm Manager

About the Role:

In this position, you will be in charge of ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the farm and achieving optimal crop production.

Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing all aspects of crop production from planting to harvesting, ensuring safety and efficiency
  • Planning and coordinating exotic fruit production like mango, Rambutan, Guava, Jackfruit, considering environmental and market factors
  • Coordinating farming operations such as cultivation, fertilising, watering, and harvesting to maintain optimal production
  • Directing general farming activities to maintain plant health, manage risks, and control pests
  • Planning and maintaining infrastructure like equipment and irrigation systems
  • Keeping records of farming activities
  • Training and supervising staff and contractors

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Hands-on, practical, and efficient
  • Previous experience in commercial irrigated cropping farming operations with a focus on large properties
  • Strong commercial acumen and workforce planning experience
  • High standards of Workplace Health and Safety (WHS)
  • Tertiary qualification(s) in agriculture or equivalent (preferred)
  • Knowledge of cropping best practices and modern farming techniques

Job Type: Full-Time

Salary: $60,000.00 to $70,000.00 per year

Location: Northern Territory
