About the Access & Demand Division


The Access & Demand Division oversees a number of inpatient and outpatient services with the aim of providing an efficient and coordinated patient focused services.

Access & Demand strategically contributes a critical and end to end view of the Austin Health patient journey.

The Division drives operational efficiency and performance improvement through an evidence based approach and methodology to maintain a continuous and holistic view of the patient journey and provides expert advice to mould future oriented models of practice and operational redesign.


About the role


The primary purpose of this position is to provide support to the Divisional Director, Access & Demand as well as the Divisional Managers within the team.

Key responsibilities/tasks will include but are not limited to;

  • Diary management
  • Meeting preparation, including room bookings, minute taking, collation and distribution of all relevant materials.
  • Assist divisional management team with processing of recruitment and contract variations
  • General office administration duties including stationary ordering and environmental maintenance and reporting

About you
To be successful in this role you'll bring with you:

  • Demonstrated ability to use initiative, problem solve, and pre-empt problems and address them before they arise
  • Intermediate knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly outlook, word, excel and power point
  • Highly effective time management skills and ability to prioritise and multitask, without compromising on attention to detail
  • Very strong communication and interpersonal skills.
