About our client:
Our client is a well-established freight forwarding company who provides international air and sea service. They pride themselves on providing excellent customer service and ensuring a friendly work environment for all staff.
Key responsibilities:
Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will be responsible for all aspects of import air freight operations and customer service.
Responsibilities include:
- Effectively manage endtoend import air freight operations for the business
- Providing exceptional customer service to clients
- Registering air freight shipments using CargoWise system
- Lodging air cargo automations and customs documentation
- Managing air carnet and Dangerous Goods shipments
- Liaising and negotiating with airlines, overseas agents, suppliers and third party companies
- Ensuring transshipment freight is processed effectively to minimise delays
- Stay up to date with industry changes, especially in regards to Covid19related delays
- Other duties as required by the Branch Manager
Skills and experience:
- Import air freight experience
- A valid DG (Dangerous Goods) Certificate is desirable
- CargoWise, ICS and 1Stop knowledge and experience
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Accurate preparation of shipping documentation
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
