Sales and Marketing Lead

Based in Sydney, with offices in all major capital cities, our client is the Australian arm of a significant international provider of fire detection and warning system solutions for all building sectors. As they continue to expand their operations, they are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join their team as an Internal Sales and Marketing Lead.

Position Overview:

As the Sales and Marketing Lead, you will drive brand and marketing efforts.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be responsible for traditional marketing activities, managing internal sales and customer service, including a small dedicated team of two, and collaborating with external providers for digital marketing initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and design marketing collateral, including pamphlets and product catalogues.
  • Translate technical information into compelling sales brochures.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to align marketing strategies with business goals.
  • Lead and manage the customer service team to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Provide tools and support to external sales reps for effective marketing and promotional activities.
  • Work closely with technical managers and sales reps to understand product offerings and market positioning.
  • Collaborate with external providers for digital marketing initiatives (social media, SEO, digital marketing).
  • Attend management meetings, providing valuable insights into marketing strategies.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of overall business strategies.

You will have:

  • Proven experience in traditional marketing, graphic design, and product management.
  • Leadership experience with the ability to manage and inspire teams.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively translate technical information into marketing material.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing processes (coordination with PR and web teams).

Highly desirable:

  • Previous experience in a senior marketing role.
  • Comfortable managing customer service teams.
  • Ability to thrive in a hands-on, dynamic work environment.
